IMPHAL, November 5: The 16th Sub Junior, 17th Junior and 18th Senior State level weight lifting championship, 2012 kicked off today at the SAI-SAG hall Khuman Lampak organized by the Manipur Weight Lifting Association and participated by 119 lifters.
On the opening day of the championship, Ph Ranibal (NSA) lifted a total of 90 kg (Snatch 40kg, Clean and jerk 50kg) to clinched the gold in the Sub Junior Girls 44 kg, while, Tang Devi (NSA) lifted 69 kg (Snatch 31kg, Clean and Jerk 38kg) and M Senuleima Chanu (Tddim Road Unique, Nambol) lifted 68kg (snatch 31kg, clean and jerk 37kg) for the silver and bronze respectively.
In the Sub Junior Girls 48kg category, M Purnima Chanu (SAI0Imp) lifted a total of 133 kg (Snatch 60kg, Clean and jerk 73kg) to clinched the gold, while, P Ganga Devi (SAI-Utlou) lifted 126 kg (Snatch 55kg, Clean and Jerk 71kg) and H Jinarani (SAI-Imphal ) lifted 120kg (snatch 52kg, clean and jerk 68kg) for the silver and bronze respectively.
In the Sub Junior Girls 53kg category, M Roshna Chanu (WMC) lifted a total of 109kg (Snatch 49kg, Clean and jerk 60kg) to clinched the gold, while, Y Shilheinganbi SHanu(SAI-Imp) lifted 101kg (Snatch 43kg, Clean and Jerk 58kg) and Baby Layna (NSA) lifted 82kgs (snatch 35kg, clean and jerk 47kg) for the silver and bronze respectively.
In the Sub Junior Girls 58kg category, Kh Rina Devi (BLC) lifted a total of 115kg (Snatch 50kg, Clean and jerk 65kg) to clinched the gold, while, O Roshni Chanu (SAI-Imp) lifted 103kg (Snatch 47kg, Clean and Jerk 56kg) and O Babina Chanu (YPAC) lifted 99kg (snatch 44kg, clean and jerk 55kg) for the silver and bronze respectively.
In the Sub Junior Girls 63kg category, Th Nishila (THAU) lifted a total of 142kg (Snatch 67kg, Clean and jerk 75kg) to clinched the gold, while, Th Bela Devi (SAI-Utlou) lifted 118kg (Snatch 53kg, Clean and Jerk 65kg) and K Roshilata(Turel Wangma Kakching) lifted 106kg (snatch 49kg, clean and jerk 57kg) for the silver and bronze respectively.
In the Sub Junior Girls 69kg category, YM Nafisha (FLYO) lifted a total of 143kg (Snatch 60kg, Clean and jerk 83kg) to clinched the gold, while, P Sanathoi Devi (SAI-Utlou) lifted 83kg (Snatch 38kg, Clean and Jerk 45kg) and N Baby Rona (SONA) lifted 77kg (snatch 35kg, clean and jerk 42kg) for the silver and bronze respectively.
