IMPHAL, December 6: Sit in protest continues demanding safe release of the two excavator operators of HVS Constructions Pvt Ltd, who were allegedly kidnapped by an UG organization.
The Khumbong Apunba Meira Paibi today staged a sit in protest at Khumbong Bazaar waiting shed demanding safe release of the two excavator operators identified as Hawaibam Suresh, 22, son of late Tomba of Khaidem Awang Leikai and Jalauddin Barbuiya, 27, son of Jamirruddin of Hellakandi in Cachar district of Assam.
Speaking to media persons at the sideline of the protest, Hawaibam Suresh’s mother Memma appealed for the safe release of the two at the earliest on humanitarian ground as well as by considering the hardship faced by their families without the two.
Womenfolk numbering more than 100 of the locality participated during protest.
