IMPHAL, January 7: Acting on the information of one Nighthoujam Kameshwor Singh, 39 son of N Subol Singh of Heirok Part-II Maning Leikai, a team of Thoubal District Police raided and arrested the KYKL (MDF) activists namely Thokchom Rameshwor Singh, 40 son of (L) Tombimacha Singh of Heirok Part-II Maning Leikai and Sagolsem (O) Purnima Devi, 38 wife of S Gambir Singh of Andro Kharam Dam Mathak from the house of the former at about 11:40 am yesterday.

Kameshwor Singh reported to the Officer in-Charge, Thoubal PS that on January 4, 2013 at about 9.30 am five youngsters namely Moirangthem Thoiba Singh, 20 son of M Shanta Singh, Ningthoujam Herojit Singh 18 son of  (L) N Jiten Singh, Nongthombam Johny Singh, 18 son of N Kumar Singh, Moirangthem Oken Singh, 20 and Moirangthem Premkanta Singh, 18 son of M Kunjamohol Singh all of Heirok Part-II Maning Leikai were brought to Chandel by the two KYKL activists by cheating them into taking part in the Army Recruitment Rally at Chandel. Upon reaching Chandel the guides who are said to be activists of KYKL (MDF) organisation arranged for the youngsters to be recruited as active members of the outlawed KYKL (MDF) by obtaining their signature on some papers, Kameshwor stated.
