IMPHAL Jan 16: Defending champions NEROCA of Sangakpham entered into the final of the 56th edition of the CC Meet after defeating KSC of Lambulane by 1-0 goal. NEROCA started play with full confidence without its star player H Chakravoti Singh due to auto suspension. Though KSC tried hard with its attack and counter attack approaches, the lone goal of the match was scored by NEROCA to seal the match. The winning goal was scored by Md Sohail Shah in a field penalty kick in the 33rd minute of the play. KSC player Bonny Laino danger fouled NEROCA midfielder Th Roshan inside the penalty area of KSC side and Centre referee I Rabichandra awarded field penalty in favour of NEROCA.
KSC`s attempts to score failed in the face of the strong defence line of NEROCA and the goalkeeper saved several attempts in the first half and failed to equalize in the second half.
Centre referee I Rabichandra awarded a red card to KSC midfielder G Ngulkhosiem in the 73rd minute of the play while Th Roshan of NEROCA was shown a yellow card in the 70 minute of the play.
The E-pao.net Man of the match award cash of Rs. 2000 along with a trophy and T-Shirt was awarded to NEROCA winning goal scorer Md Sohail Shah.
The Final match of the CC Meet is now set for a clash between Assam Regimental Center (ARC) and NEROCA of Sangakpham on 18th Jan 2013 at 1.00pm to be held at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.
