IMPHAL, February 8: The Gauhati High Court has ordered the state government that the appointment of Primary Teachers under SSA and the Recruitment Rules framed by the state government as per it`s recruitment advertisement dated October 18, 2011 are to be set aside, said Advocate M Hemchandra today.
The advocate representing the petitioners Phijam Gajendra and nine others said this while he was briefing the media at a press conference today at his residence.
Speaking further, he said that an Imphal Bench of the Gauhati High Court comprising of Justice T Vaiphei and Justice S Talapatra passed the judgement on February 7, 2013.
The court order has also directed the state government to form a new recruitment rule on the basis of the Section 23 of the Right to Education Act, 2005 and accordingly advertise it without further delay.
The court has further directed the state government that the notification should be published within seven days of February 7 with the last date of the application duly filled in within 15 days therefrom, he said.
Candidates who have applied earlier may be relaxed from applying afresh, he said while adding that all exercise for the appointment should be completed within March 31, 2013.
