Lamka, Sep 24: Over issue arising out due to confiscation of Census materials/documents by the COPTAM and CDSU volunteers recently plans are mooted by the government officials to uneccessarily delete names of people in Ccpur by the government from the census list, the minister Power / hort & soil consvtn/ sc & tech has taken an initiative to settle the issue
He convened a meeting with the leaders of CDSU and COPTAM at his residence today from about 10 am which has also been participated by the district administrative heads
Later after the meeting at the press conference the minister disclosed that an agreement was reached and by virtue of it all the seized census documents will be given back to the concern officials. Subsequently all police cases against the student leaders will be withdrawn apart from trying to settle the issue of overlapping census at the earliest.
Later in the evening at the Chairman ADC/Ccpur’s office all the seized documents were handed over to the concern officials by the CDSU and COPTAM leaders.
