JIRIBAM, Feb 25: A sericulture awareness camping cum training programme was held today at Jiribam Town Hall organized by Sub-Divisional Sericulture officer, Jiribam.
The function was attended by Th Ibomcha Singh, Upa Adhyaksha, Imphal East Zilla Parishad; H Ginjamang Simte, Director, state Sericulture department; and Archana Das, Member, 19 Barak Zilla Parishad as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Th Gambhi Singh spoke on the toipic “Present Development and future Vision of Sericulture Industry in Manipur” and Dr K Nimaichand Singh spoke on the topic “Role of Farmer in sericulture Industry” as resource persons in the programme which was attended by farmers, self help groups and public leaders.
