IMPHAL, April 10: The Social Welfare Forum, Barak to Phaitol Tousem Sub-Div Tamenglong Dist in a press release has appealed to the concerned Government authorities to release compensation against the acquired and affected land and properties by NH-37 Bridge construction of BRTF and 400kv DC transmission line construction under Power grid within Phaitol village to Barak river of Tousem Sub-Division, Tamenglong Dist. on or before April 21, 2013.
It said, “Since the compensation has been pending for so long and if the concerned govt authorities fail to release the said compensation on or before the given deadline, the forum of the region will ceased/stop the construction work from April 22 till the fund is released.”
The Forum also asked the Government not to show any further negligence which may lead affected villagers to take up serious activities against their grievances being delayed, the release said.
