IMPHAL, June 11: Minor Irrigation work charge and muster roll employees today staged a sit in protest in front of the department’s head office at Lamphel today against the non-payment of their ten months salaries since 2012.
Speaking to media persons, an employee in the protest said the salary and the arrears of the employees have not been released for the past ten months.
He further demanded a change in the Chief Engineer of the Minor Irrigation, M Shyambabu as he has failed to release the salaries of the employees.
