IMPHAL, June, 15: The National Foundation for Communal Harmony, autonomous body under the Ministry of Home Affairs has invited application from the individuals and organisations for National Communal Harmony Award 2012, said it according to a press release of the Department of Information and Public Relation (DIPR).
The National Communal Harmony Award 2012 has two categories – one for individuals and another for organisations which carries a sum of Rs. 5, 00,000/- and Rs. 10, 00,000/- respectively. The details information will be available at office of the under secretary (Home) and also at the office of deputy commissioners of all districts while saying that the applicants (both individuals and organisations) must have worked in the field of communal harmony for 10 years and should not be a staff of parliament, state legislature or statutory local bodies. It is further said that the applicants should not be member of political parties which were recognized by the Election Commission of India, said it.
