IMPHAL, June 24: The Tombisana High School Management Committee has today released a press statement on the issue of construction of Market Shed at the plot of Tombisana High School saying that this school has historical importance and was established in the year 1931-32 as a third school in Manipur established by the then educationalists in considering for the youths.
It further said that the government should keep in mind the MoU which was signed at the time of taking over the school from the then Management Committee adding to ponder the importance of school before it is being turned into a market shed.
Moreover, this school will soon celebrate its centenary function, it said.
