IMPHAL, July 7: Militant outfit leader Lallumba of the KCP (MC) Lallumba group has reportedly decamped from the 7th MR Khabeishoi camp since June 9 along with a huge amount of Rs 1,92,68, 800 meant for a one time rehabilitation package from the government and including monthly allowance of eight months, bank deposits of 114 cadres and 10 polit buro members of the outfit, said other leaders of the outfit.
The outfit had signed a tripartite peace talk with the central and the state governments on August 6, 2010 at the 1st Manipur Rifles Banquet Hall.General secretary of the outfit, Wahengbam Ramananda @ Rosho Meetei told media persons that the absconding deserter remains expelled from the party.He said three other cadres have also accompanied the deserter leader who is absconding with his whole family, and further added that the outfit has made a complaint to the Principal Secretary (Home) and other related authorities to take action against the deserter.Kshtrimayum Hitendra alias Kritibas alias Lallumba (42), son of (L) Amuyaima of Thinungei Mayai Leikai, President of the outfit had decamped from the Manipur Rifles camp since June 9 and never returned to the camp, Rosho.
He further alleged that the huge amount has been siphoned off by Lallumba in cohort with the UBI, North AOC bank manager.He was speaking to media persons somewhere in Imphal after a meeting of the outfit’s central committee members, polit buro and cadres of the KCP (MC) at noon today.
He said, the meeting deliberated on the issue of the outfit’s president decamping after withdrawing the huge amount in cohort with the Manager of the United Bank of India, North AOC branch without the knowledge of the other cadres of the outfit.He further elaborated that the amount include amounts deposited during the opening of bank accounts with the UBI, North AOC for 114 cadres and 10 other polit buro at Rs 1000 per account, several months allowance of all the cadres and the polit buros at the rate of Rs 4000 for the cadres and Rs 5500 for the polit buro and a onetime rehabilitation package of Rs 5 lakhs for each polit buros and Rs 2.5 lakhs for each 114 cadres. The outfit has further submitted formal written complaints to the concerned state authorities regarding the fraudulent withdrawal of the huge amount by the party president.Complaints have been submitted to the state Principal Secretary Home and copies submitted to the Joint Secretary Home, IGAR (S), GOC 57th Mountain Division, IGP (CRPF) and DIG (
BSF) and further appeals have been made to the state authorities to investigate into the matter and initiate proper action against Lallumba, he said.
He further asked the three cadres who had accompanied Lallumba to return back to the camp and report at the earliest or face being expelled from the group.
The General Secretary also said that their party president has been expelled with immediate effect and he will not allowed to be a part of their group and no official document signed by the Lallumba will hold.
