IMPHAL, July 28: The PRO, HQ IGAR (South) has today said in a press release that the troops of 30th Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) launched an operation in Sawombung area and apprehended two UNLF cadres on July 28, 2013.
The apprehended UGs were identified as Ningombam Premjit Singh (22) alias Naobi son of N Babu Sana Singh of Chumpanagar, Jiribam and Mutum Naobicha (32) alias Nanglai Khaba, son of M Memma of Haibam Marak, Imphal West district and one Nokia mobile phone with airtel SIM was recovered from Mutum Naobicha. They were handed over to Lamlai police station along with the recovered items, it said.
