IMPHAL, August 5: The Meetei Council, Moreh has appealed the government to avail rice sufficiently in Moreh by instructing the concerned authorities or agents under Consumer Affairs Food and Public Distribution (CAF and PD) so that the shortage of rice in the area is solved.
A statement issued by N Inaocha Meetei, gen secy of MCM said poor people in Moreh has been facing difficulties in procuring rice as the price of the commodity has skyrocketed adding that the government’s mobile sale of rice in Moreh which used to cater before the last three/four months has stopped now thereby putting people of Moreh in hardship in getting rice.
