IMPHAL, August 21: The Kangpokpi Block Congress Committee today held a one day block level meeting at the Kangpokpi community hall with Sadar Hills ADC Chairperson and member of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee Haokholal Hangshing as the chief guest; Kangpokpi Block Congress Committee president Tangkholen Hanshing; District Congress Committee president Thangjakam Misao; In charge youth Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee secretary Shashikanta; Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee administration secretary S Jiten and Sadar Hill Mahila Congress president Thinkholin Vaiphei as the presidium members.
Giving the key note address Thangjakam Misao said that the meeting of the block level Congress committee in Kangpokpi is the second of it kind.
He further said that the meeting is being held under the guidance of the All India Congress Committee to spread awareness regarding the various scheme taken up by the centre under the leadership of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi for bringing development in the each and every part of the country especially for the women and children.
Haokholal Hangshing said that the meeting is being held in every part of the country under the guidance of AICC in the state level and national level to bring a development in the country from the grass root level for bring the stability economic development.
He further said that the meeting is also held to give awareness to the people about the 16 point flagship program being taken up by the central government for the welfare of the people.
