MOREH, September 15: A day long free health camp organised by Lions Club of Imphal, Moreh in association with Imphal Moreh Border Town Branch Club, Moreh was held today at the All Community Welfare School, Moreh Ward No 3.
Inaugurating the camp, Lions Club Imphal president Lion Thoudam Nabachandra Singh stated that the camp was organised to provide medical help in the border town considering the fact that many people in the border town area are deprived of such medical facilities adding that similar health camps were held at the border town two/three times in the past.
While appealing to people of Moreh and Myanmar to take part in the free health camp and avail certain medical facilities, he called upon the people to stay fit and healthy.
Imphal Moreh Border Town Branch Club’s president Lion V Shekhar expressed gratitude to doctors, Lions office bearers for extending assistance in making the camp successful and people who have come down from far flung areas of Moreh and Myanmar to attend the camp.
He further said he along with Lions Club of Imphal has been putting necessary efforts to organise health camps bigger than this at Tamu or Kalemyo in Myanmar next year.
During the camp cases of ENT, Dental, Medicine, Obst & Gynae, Paeditrics and Ortho were treated. Free medicines were also given to the ailing patients.
