IMPHAL, Oct 10: The closing ceremony of a 10 day workshop on traditional head gear and dress of Manipur was held today at the Tribal Museum and Research Centre, Sagolband Bijoy Govinda Akham Leikai, Thangapat Aroiba, Imphal West.
The workshop was inaugurated on October 1.
Today’s closing function was attended by Dr K Sobita Devi, Director, Art and Culture, govt of Manipur as the chief guest, Dr RM Nayal, asst keeper (NE, co-ordinator), Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal (IGRMS), Bhopal as guest of honour, with Dr Lokendro Arambam presided over the function.
K Sobita expressed that there is a need to preserve the past for our future.
