IMPHAL, Oct 21: A combined team of CDO/Thoubal and 27 AR apprehended two members of the proscribed group KCP after a search operation was conducted at Chairel Awang Leikai on October 20 at about 7:45 am, said a press release of the SP Thoubal.
The arrested persons were identified as s/s sgt major Irengbam Khamba Singh, 30, son of I Jogol Singh of Chairel Awang Leikai and s/s lance cpl Oinam Naocha alias Rabichandra Singh, 20, son of O Ibomcha Singh of Sekmaijin Maning Leikai, it said.
One 9mm pistol with three live rounds of 9mm ammunition and one Nokia mobile handset with one Reliance SIM were recovered from the possession of Oinam Naocha Singh, it said.
