IMPHAL, October 21: A book titled “Laireibak ki Paodam” based on poetry authored by Raghubir Thiyam which is the 35th edition of Yairipok Thambalnu Sahitya Marup was released today during a simple function held at the residence of Wangkhem MLA and Parliamentary Secretary MI and IPR Keisham Meghachandra with the MLA himself attending as the chief guest.
The book released function was also attended by M Nandakishwor Sharma, president of Yairipok Thambalnu Sahitya Marup as president and B Jayentakumar Sharma, noted lyricist as guest of honour.
Critic Salam Tomba spoke on length about the book which was dedicated to the writer’s son Dr Romesh Kumar Thiyam who died following bee bites at Ngarian Ching in 2002.
The book which was released today is the 8th book written by Raghubir Thiyam.
