IMPHAL, November 2: Adhyaksha of Thoubal Zilla Parishad, Kh Surnalata and Up-Adhyaksha E Manglemjao, got new lease of lives as the no confidence motions filed against them were defeated by 9-7 votes.
However, the chairperson of Yairipok Nagar Panchayat and vice-chairperson of Shikhong Nagar Panchayat failed to escape the No Confidence Motion filed against them.
The vote of no confidence was conducted during a special meeting convened at the office chamber of L Nabakishor, chief executive officer, Thoubal Zilla Parishad today around 1 pm.
The meeting was attended by all 16 Members of the Thoubal Zilla Parishad.
