IMPHAL, November 3: A team of City Police under the supervision of SDPO Imphal West Modhunimai led by its Officer-in-Charge M Sudhir conducted a sensitization work at Thangal Bazar and its surrounding areas upto Khoyathong crossing area after a hoax bomb threat created panic among the shopkeepers and local passerby at the area today around 1 pm.
The sensitization work was taken up along with the State Bomb Squad using Metal Detector and conducting search operation at the bazaar area and its surrounding area for presence of any explosive material presence in the area.
According to police, they were informed about the suspicious object by shopkeepers of Thangal Bazaar and after thoroughly checking the area, any kind of explosive materials were not found in the area and that the sensitization work was taken up to prevent any untoward incident during the festive season.
