Imphal, Oct 6: The personnel of 28 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of IGAR (South), with an aim of promoting sphere and spirit of games and sports conducted a cleanliness and maintenance drive of football field at the Hao Ground, Chingmathak, Singjamei yesterday.
According to an official statement of the 28 AR, the local club ie Chingamathak Young Learners Club (CYLC) also willing came forward to help the unit in maintaining the Footbal Play ground with full gusto and enthusiasm.
The locals, club members and especially youths expressed deep gratitude and also appreciated the efforts extended by the Assam Rifles in encouraging sports in the local community, the statement added.
