IMPHAL, April 30: A Water Resource Management Committee, Khurai was formed in a meeting at Khurai Sajor Leikai at 6 pm on April 27 to look after various water sources in and around Khurai Kendra to collectively share and control water resources.
A press release from the committee stated that during the meeting various issues of water sources and key resolutions of identification of water sources and mapping out common facilitation points and collective ownership of community water sources were discussed.
A core team has identified a number of water logging areas where water can be shared with the needy community as an urgent action. Moreover, the team also visited various water supply schemes which are functioning within the Kendra in connection with their output capacity and feeding communities, the press release further stated.
