IMPHAL Oct 23: A cabinet meeting held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has approved age relaxation for the civil and combined services examinations conducted by the MPSC to five years against the existing 2 years relaxation.
Today’s cabinet meeting also discussed and approved many more agendas during the sitting this afternoon.
According to a reliable source the cabinet meeting also gave approval to the blueprint of the civil secretariat tabled during the meet to start construction after a deliberate discussion and minor changes. Besides, the meet also approved holidays list for the year 2010 which will also be applicable for the year 2011, the source added.
At the same time, the cabinet sitting also agreed to establish a Manipur State Information Technology Society and also to create 20 posts including 4 post of information officers in Grade-I and Grade-II category and one administrator etc.
The cabinet meeting also approve for establishment of integrated watershed management programme under the RD Panchayati Raj of the state with RD department as the state level nodal agency.
Further the cabinet sitting also approved setting up of a new state forest development agency of which the chairman will be the principal chief conservator forest and additional principal chief conservator forest will be the members.
