IMPHAL, Oct 21: The KSO General Headquarters said it has decided to oppose the indefinite bandh called by Tombing led pseudo ATSUM.
According to a release of KSO, the decision has been arrived at after due consultation with other tribal student organisations to make sure that there are no bandh activities in all the Kuki areas.
It further said that the organisation does not acknowledge or recognise Tombing group ATSUM as it continues to regard Tombing group as a pseudo student organisation. The KSO acknowledges or recognises only one ATSUM, which is being led by Emboi Serto, and supported by senior leaders of ATSUM.
It further said that it condemned the boycott of the Sangai festival and Ningol Chakouba festival as no organisation has ever boycotted one`™s festivals. It is communal in nature and is a threat to peace and harmony, the statement alleged.
