IMPHAL, Oct 26: One unidentified dead body of a man estimated to be about 45 years old, which was found in the canal at Malom Makha on October 23 evening, about 200 meters on the western side of the Tiddim Road is in an advanced state of decomposition at the RIMS mortuary, a police release said.
The body if not identified and claimed by 1pm on October 28, will be disposed of with due permission of the District Magistrate, Imphal West, the release notified.
The dead body is believed be a murder victim thrown into the canal after the crime committed probably in the night of October 22, it added.
