IMPHAL, December 17: The 9th session of the 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly will commenced from tomorrow at the new Manipur Legislative Assembly building, Chingmeirong.
Speaker Th Lokeshwar Singh will preside over proceedings of the three day session.
The first day will begin with an obituary reference, followed by the tabling of the Business Advisory Committee report. The last business of the day will be introduction of the government Bills.
The second day will see the conduct of Question Hour, government business, Presentation of Committee Reports, Introduction of government Bills and Private Members`™ Business.
There will be no sittings on December 20 and 21 and the session will conclude on December 22. There will be Question Hour, government business, Presentation of Committee Reports and consideration and passing of government Bills.
Meanwhile, security arrangement has been beefed up in the State capital to check any unwanted incident during the session.
It is also learnt that a full rehearsal for the security personnel including both plainclothes and uniformed have been conducted. Cordon and search operations were also conducted at some nearby areas as part of the security arrangement for the Assembly session.
