IMPHAL, Jan 25: Colonel Nameirakpam Romeo Singh, a resident of Thongju Part 2 in Imphal East District has been awarded with the coveted Sena Medal (Distiguished) on the occasion of Republic Day 2015 for his exceptional devotion to duty and successful command of his Unit 2 Rajput (Kalichindi) in Counter Insurgency operations, said a PIB release.
He has already been awarded with COAS commendation cards twice, GOC-in-C commendation cards twice and Force Commander`s commendation card in United Nations Mission in Sudan, it said.
He is the son of Late Nameirakpam Chaoba Singh and Late Nameirakpam (O) Tampha, it added.
