IMPHAL, Feb 21: At least two persons were found dead at different places of Imphal during the past 24 hours in Imphal.
In the first incident a man was found hung to death inside his room at Konjeng Hazari Leikai around 10 pm yesterday.
The victim has been identified as one Nongmaithem Thomas, 47, son of N Dhani Singh.
The motive behind committing suicide is not known as no suicide note was left behind.
While a UD case has been registered by the Imphal police station, his body was handed over to the family after post mortem examination.
Meanwhile, another youth was found lying dead on his bed this afternoon around 1 pm at a farm house situated at Chingmeirong Imphal under Lamphel police station.
The deceased has been identified as one Chunguanlung Pamei, 27 son of Dimduanlung Pamei of Ramlalung village of Tamenglong.
The cause of death could not be ascertained immediately.
