IMPHAL, February 22: The All Manipur Students Union has imposed a ban on Human Resource Centre, a private coaching institute at Nagamapal, RIMS Road.
Addressing a press meet at its office, AMSU`™s Human Resource development secretary Manjit Sarangthem accused HRC located at RIMS road of collecting a huge amount of money from school students by organising a Second State level scholarship examination that was held today in a messy manner at different centres of the State after postponing it several times.
He added that the said institute collected Rs 200 each per subject from nearly 30,000 students for science, mathematics and English for the said competition. The competition was held today at various centres in a haphazard manner, he added.
He continued that many candidates have not been provided their respective seats and question papers in most of the centres. In some centres, candidates were asked to share question papers which made the majority of the parents of the candidates expressed their dissatisfaction with the organisers.
The student leader further appealed the chief functionaries of the said private institute to refund the amount collected from the parents of the candidates and asked them to come and clarify on the matter within one day at the AMSU office.
He further asked the guardians to know the authenticity of the private educational institutes and tuition centres in the State.
