The family members along with the residents of Khongman held the protest in front of the Manipur University Main Gate while the staff members of the engineering cell held the protest inside the campus of the University.
Speaking to mediapersons, wife of Th. Dolan Sangeeta stated that her husband was abducted by some unknown persons on November 11 on his way to Manipur University. The reasons for his abduction are uncertain but it might be related with some departmental matter, she said.
Sangeeta further appealed to the concerned organization to release her husband safely on humanitarian ground adding that her husband is just a contractual employee and he has nothing to do much with the engineering cell.
The colleagues of Th. Dolan also appealed for his safe release and urged the concerned authority to ensure healthy working atmosphere for the employees of Manipur University.
