IGNTUSU lifts boycott, Entrance exam re-scheduled

KANGPOKPI, July 10: The Students`™ Union of Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Regional Campus Manipur has lifted its boycott of the Varsity Entrance Examination and rescheduled the date of examination today.

Speaking to media persons today at Kangpokpi, the union`™s vice president, Lenpu Haokip said that the entrance examination of the university which was scheduled on May 22 had been boycotted by the Student Union against the decision of University Authority of IGNTU, Amarkantak, MP regarding the reduction of Intake capacity in admission from 30 seats to 20 seats for the academic session 2015-16 of IGNTU-RCM.

However, the University authority and the student union came to an understanding after the later revoke its decision and agreed not to decrease the intake capacity from 30 seats, he said.

He also added that IGNTUSU-RCM have subsequently lifted the boycott of the entrance examination while the examination has been rescheduled on July 24.

While informing those applying for the said exam to visit the varsity administration block to know more detail about the examination, he conveyed the union`™s gratitude to all the applicants and others for their cooperation towards the student union in the interest of the student community.
