KANGPOKPI, Jul.22: In the midst of some breakthrough and new development on the ongoing Dziiko imbroglio between Mao Council and SAPO, the Ze (Yangkhullen) Dziiko valley preservation committee has expressed its concern over the jurisdiction of the dispute. In a press statement issued by the committee, it stated that, it has been learnt through various media sources and organizations that the Dziiko valley land dispute case between Mao Council and Southern Angami Public Organization (SAPO) issue is to be settled and resolved at the Tenyimi Public Organization (TPO) court.
Therefore, it is compelled to issue this press statement that (Ze/Yangkhullen) jurisdiction should not be disturbed at any cost because (Ze/Yangkhullen) has a boundary which interconnects with both the community (Mao & Angami) in the eastern side of the Dziiko valley. As stated, in our previous press release that encroaching our traditional boundary line without the knowledge of Ze/Yangkhullen will be at his/her own risk.
However, we also appeal both the Mao Council and Southern Angami Public Organization (SAPO) to settle their differences through the spirit of true brotherhood as it is a serious setback to the traditional relationship of both the communities.
