IMPHAL Nov 22 : In a gruesome incident, a school student hacked to death a school teacher on November 19.
According to a police source, a 14 years old Md. Azaruddin studying in class nine hacked 27 years old school teacher identified as one Md.Butto in the evening of November 19 at Phoudel Khunou under Thoubal district.
The student Md Azaruddin was gambling in the locality on Thursday evening when Md Butto scolded him for gambling instead of preparing for his upcoming examination . Offended by the act of the teacher scolding him publicly, Md Azaruddin took an axe and followed the teacher when the latter was strolling in a deserted area the following day and killed him.
With enough clues and witnesses implicating Md Azaruddin for the murder, the locals dismantled the school boy’s house. The accused is said to be absconding at present.
Md Azaruddin studies in Hundred Flowers School while Md Butto taught in Emida Public Academy.
