IMPHAL, Aug 21: A one-month skill development programme on fashion embroidery organized by People’s Development Society (PDS) under the sponsorship of NABARD concluded today at State Guest House, Sanjenthong, Imphal.
The closing function was attended by Th. Nandakishore, MLA Kshetrigao A/C, Kh. Borkishore, chairman ICM, MS Sarangmath, assistant general manager of NABARD, Toijam Itobi, member of Top Naoriya Z/P, and Koijam Olen, pradhan of Thambalkhong G/P as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Nandakishore stated that the people of the state should try to develop good work culture amidst untold miseries faced as a result of months-long economic blockade on the national highways.
The training programme would benefit the youths of the state who are willing to become entrepreneurs in the field of fashion and designing which are very much in demand, he noted.
