IMPHAL, Oct 16: The Kangleipak Communist Party and the Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup have jointly announced the formation of an alliance to be known as `Alliance for Socialist Unity, Kangleipak.`

A joint statement released by KYKL chairman N Oken and KCP president Ksh Laba Meitei have appealed to all revolutionary outfits to join the alliance which is based on `scientific socialism.`™

The statement announcing the formation of the alliance said the biggest problems faced by the outfits of the land are the presence of numerous organisations, inability to maintain unity, frequent disintegration of outfits, joining forces only in name and failing to maintain alliances for long.

The failure to maintain long term alliances is because instead of being farsighted, the groups tend to think only of the present, it said.

The logic also seems to hold true for Western South Eas Asia, it said.

The statement said another problem of the revolutionary movement is of the revolutionary groups deviating from the intended path.

The only change that would enable the revolutionary movement to save the people is for the revolutionary groups to renew their resolutions based on `revolutionary socialism,`™ it said.
