IMPHAL, December 10: The BJP Mahila Morcha Manipur will be distributing the first Manipur Women Achiever Award on the day of the 76th Nupilal observation at the Nityaipat Chuthek party office on December 12, said its president RK Pramodini today.
Speaking at a press conference held at her office, Pramodini said the award has been constituted in recognition of the achievements of the Manipuri women.
She said the awards will be handed over to women achievers excelling in sport, education, social activism, community development among others.
The awards constituted are Certificate of Excellence Award, Contribution in Social and Public Service Award, Contribution in Field of Education Award, Contribution in the Field of Sport Award, Contribution in Field of Art and Culture Award, Young Entrepreneur Award and Community Development Award.
Pramodini said that for this year’s awards will be handed over to boxer L Sarita Devi, S Debala, Dr Ninghorla Zimik, Hazarimayum Priyadarsani, Arambam (o) Memchoubi Ninghtoujam, Uma Devi and Ruhina. The awards will carry a certificate and a memento with a token of love from the BJP Mahila Morcha, Pramodini said.
