IMPHAL, Dec 21: Due to failure of the PA system today’s sitting of the Manipur Legislative Assembly which was supposed to start at 11:00 am started at 2:00 pm today.
This is the first time in the history of the Manipur Legislative Assembly since the House became a 60 member House in 1972 that a PA system failure led to adjournment of the sitting two times in a day.
When the speaker took his seat to start the business of the House he finds the PA system not functioning. He announced a 5 minute break for fixing the problem first.
He entered again in the House at 11:15 am again to start the business however the problem was still not fix yet and so he announced another half an hour break.
He again entered the House at 11:52 am and made a final announcement to start the business of the House from 2 pm.
