IMPHAL, December 21: Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam who is in-charge of Home replying to a calling attention motion raised by MLA Kh Joykisan Singh on the reported incident of cannibalism in a designated camp at Khabeisoi said the matter is under investigation and the details of the report is yet to be established.
Health minister Phungzathang replying to a discussion on a matter of public interest raised by MLA Dr I Ibohalbi Singh on the enhancement of retirement age only for specialist doctors said the government considers the matter seriously and will discuss the matter in a cabinet meeting.
Dr I Ibohalbi pointing out that there are more than 700 vacancies in the Health Care sector of the State urges the Health minister to enhance the retirement age for the MBBS doctors as well.
Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister M Okendro replying to discussion on a matter of public interest raised by MLA L Ibomcha Singh on the collection of fees by distributing unauthenticated forms for Food Security Card by the office/department said the report is not true and if anyone found selling form in this manner strict action will be taken against such individuals.
