34th branch of SBI opened

IMPHAL, Dec 31: The 34th branch of SBI was opened today at Khwairamband Ima Keithel today with AK Mirabai Minister Social Welfare as the chief guest.

Delivering his speech during the opening ceremony of the bank, AK Mirabai noted that the Ima Keithel is one of the historic places of Manipur. The market is a lifeline for many mothers of the state and opening a bank branch is the need of the hour.

She said that the bank can give many benefits to every section of people especially the grievances of the shoppers.

Thangzamuan Hauzel, chief General Manager of RBI, expressed his gratitude that a branch of SBI has been opened at the historic market place.

Noting that SBI has maximum number branch in India, opening of this bank will bring more improvement in bringing a change in the social economy structure of the section.

He further expressed his confidence that SBI will take more initiative in the future for the welfare scheme for the women society.

General Manager of SBI, Thangboi Lunkim, assured to open more ATM booths in the near future at the Kwairamband market areas adding that it had submitted written letter to DGP and high official of Home Department for security arrangement.
