IMPHAL, Jan 16: Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur Laxmikant Mohapatra today opened the District and Session Court of Ukhrul district this morning around 11:30 at the District Court Complex, Phungreitang near Gandhi Chowk in Ukhrul Town.
The function was also attended by High Court of Manipur Justice N Kotishwar, Justice Kh Nobin and All Manipur Bar Association president senior advocate H Chandrajit Sharma.
Other civil and police officers led by the DC and the SP also attended the function.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Justice expressed desire to see the session courts of Tamenglong and Chandel districts inaugurated during his service tenure.
It may be mentioned that Ukhrul has a Judicial Magistrate 1st Class and Chief Judicial Magistrate courts.
