All set for “Mass rally for a common future of Manipur”

IMPHAL, Feb 3: Preparations for the February 6 mass rally has been completed and we are all hoping it to be a success, convenor of Organising Committee E Johnson told media persons today.

Speaking at the UCM office today, the convenor said the “Mass rally for a common future of Manipur” will show the united strength of the people of Manipur and dissuade the Government of India from taking any step which could harm the territorial integrity of the land.

It is very much important for everyone from all communities to come out and join the rally, he said.

This rally will only strengthen the brotherhood among the different communities, he added.

He, on behalf of the organising committee further appealed to all against imposing any kind of agitation against the rally and instead to join it and show some unity.

He further continued that making it a success will only help in bringing peace and development in the State.

Johnson continued if we stand together we will be able to face any force trying to disintegrate the State.

He continued several communities have already assured their support and commitment in joining the rally in the interest of Manipur and the people.

The rally, he said will be flag off from THAU ground at 9am and after passing through Khuyathong – Nagamapal- Keisampat- Kheisamthong- Yaisul police lane-Thumbuthong- Konungmamang- New Checkon- Hatta- Minuthong- MMTA road will conclude at the Khuman Lampak Main Stadium where a mass meeting will be held.
