ADC Churachandpur organises orientation programme for District Council teachers

CHURACHANDPUR, February 9: The Autonomous District Council, Churachandpur organised an orientation programme yesterday for District Council teachers for further development of the 170 schools in six blocks.

The programme will also continue tomorrow and again on February 12. On February 11 a similar programme will be held for village chiefs. Those who failed to attend the first orientation programmes will have the opportunity to attend on February 18, however, those who failed to attend in the programmes will have to face disciplinary actions.

It may be mentioned that there are more than 1100 teachers under the ADC Churachandpur; however, many of them may have not seen the condition of their school while many of them are still engrossed in different profession including contractor, media persons, political activists etc.

Yesterday’s programme was attended by ADC Churachandpur chairman Langkhanpau Guite flanked by ADC member of New Lamka CT Lian Guite, ADC Churachandpur EM Thangkhosuanmung Guite and ADC CEO Manmuanching.

Speaking on the occasion, the chairman said the ADC wants the teachers to be committee, dedicated and honest.

He assured to look into the problems regarding the arrangement and re-location of teachers.

We will facilitate change of posting if the said teacher is found to be genuine, he said, adding that the ADC wants an all-round improvement for the schools in the interest of children.

School going students have been on the rise in places like Thanlon, Tipaimukh, Lamka Town and some other places, he added.

The ADC Churachandpur is also trying to contain corrupt practices and promote honesty.

He said the ADC has been aiming to achieve all this since a long time back and has instructed the MDCs to initiate a model school in their constituencies.

The ADC chairman also said that many such schools have been opened and even a model hostel has been opened at Pumlong Village under the initiative of the ADC.

The meeting with the teachers was also continued today while the ADC will meet and discuss the issues with the village chiefs tomorrow.
