IMPHAL, Feb 20: A team of Narcotics and Affairs of Border Police Station arrested one smuggler near Churachandpur bus parking, Keishampat today.
In a statement by PRO, Police Department RK Tutusana said that the apprehendee is identified a one Lamneilhing Haokip (40), wife of late Hemsei Haokip of New Boljang Village of Churachandpur district.
Three Kgs of Opium (Kani) were seized from her possession having approximate value of Rs 1,20,000 in local market.
A case has been registered at Narcotics and Affairs of Border Police Station and investigation is going on.
