IMPHAL, February 22: A one day public meeting on the increasing crime against minor and women was held at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul today.
The public meeting was oraganised by JAC formed in connection with the alleged rape of a six year old some days back.
During the meeting, the JAC demanded the authorities to punish the culprit and further resolved to stir the various forms of agitations including sit in protest during the Assembly session.
The JAC also informed that a public rally will be held at Bishnupur against the incident and further demanded the concern authority to pay adequate compensation to the minor victim.
