KANGPOKPI, March 12: Kuki Students’ Organization, Sadar Hills today drew the attention of the State government for installation of DIET Centre at Kangpokpi for Sadar Hills populace.
Drawing the attention of the State government, Thangminlen Kipgen, president, KSO Sadar Hills said that there are abundant primary teachers who could not pursue DIET training course while it has been made compulsory for them due to the absence of DIET Centre in Sadar Hills.
He continued that Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council got the highest number of primary teachers, but the government has failed to establish DIET Centre in the area for convenience of the teachers to pursue the course.
He further said that though Sadar Hills is attached to Senapati for the DIET training with minimal allotment of only 50 seats, most of the teachers from Sadar Hills have been left out.
Therefore, opening DIET centre is extremely needed so as to cover up the all the primary teachers for the course which is made compulsory for them, he added.
The student body also urged the State government and concerned department to install DIET centre at Kangpokpi for the convenience of all primary teachers under Sadar Hills ADC.
