IMPHAL, March 21: The Indigenous People’s Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) will be organizing four days long Residential Camp cum Awareness Programme under the theme ‘Save Paddy Land’ on April 1 at in four districts, namely Imphal East, Imphal West, Bishnupur and Thoubal.
Speaking at a press conference held at IPAK office today, chairman of IPAK, Sapamcha Jadumani said that aim of organizing the programme is to save the agricultural land which is being occupied for the construction of several proposes.
He further said that the agricultural land is very essential but small in number as compare to other parts of state.
During the programme around 5000 pamphlet will be pasted and 10, 000 will be distributed to the people.
The venue of residential came will be at Kwakeithel Mission Compound, Nongshaba (BTI) near Pitambara School and around 150 volunteer will look after the programme.
