First ballast train flagged off from Jiribam

JIRIBAM, March 21: First ballast train was flagged off from Jiribam railway station to Dholakhal railway station which is 12 kilometres from Jiribam by D M K Rao at 9.30 am today, a release said.

The train carrying 53 boggies arrived at Jiribam at aroung 7.55 am in the morning from Silchar Cachar Assam, it said.

As per ritual, before flagging off the train, certain rituals were performed at Jiribam Railway station. Which were attended by K Narah, Dy. Chief Engineer, Construction, NEF Railway,Jiribam and Railway officials.

The train arrived at Dholakhal Railway Station at around 5.30 pm in the evening.
