IMPHAL, Dec 8: The ninth session of the 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly will have two days sittings starting from December 22, an official notification said.
This will be the Winter Session of the Assembly.
The government on receiving official assent from the Governor Manipur to summon the ninth session of the 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly recently, held a formal meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Manipur Legislative Assembly this afternoon, chaired by Deputy Speaker Th Lokeshor who is holding charge of Speaker of the House.
The BAC meeting finalised the businesses of the proposed sittings of the 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly.
According to a reliable source, the meeting of BAC has approve to have a session for two days starting from December 22 till December 23 next.
The source further mentioned that the BAC meeting approved to have question hours, obituary reference, presentation of BAC report, presentation of the report of the Pay Committee on the structure of Pay and Allowances of the Officers and Staffs of the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat under Manipur Service (Revised Pay) Rules, 2010 on the first day of the session.
Besides, the BAC meeting also approved to have question hours, paper to laid on the table of the house, intimation regarding Governor’s Assent to Bill, other business if any, and adoption of the report of the pay committee on the structure of Pay and allowances of the Officers and staffs of the Manipur Legislative Assembly under the Manipur Service (Revised Pay) Rules, 2010, the official source added.
