IMPHAL, June 01: Every living thing falls under the domain of politics and the art and science of existence is in itself a part of politics, said BJP leader while speaking during the 4th Foundation Day observation of Pangal (Manipuri Muslim) Political Forum, Manipur (PPF) at Manipur Press Club today.

The state is going through a hard time with agitations, bandhs, natural calamities and other issues becoming a daily affair and each of these events are all related to politics, he asserted. Commenting on the adverse consequences of bad politics, the veteran politician said that a faulty decision from an engineer can claim the life of 100 persons, a negligent doctor can cause death of a few persons but faulty politics can erase a large group of people from existence.

Quoting Shiv Khera Joy mentioned that if lawlessness becomes the law of the land then the law abiding and honest citizen may becomes law breakers of the society. Sketching a description of the state, which he said has been caught in a endless hole of lawlessness, he asserted that job seekers has to pay upfront and politicians with criminal records roam free creating little space for the honest and law abiding people.

Stating that the nomenclature of Pangal is derived from the conjunction of migrant Muslim and native Meitei community, he said the people belonging to the community should not be ashamed if someone addressed them as Pangal. He wished that the PPF succeed in its future endeavours and contribute to development of the society.

Spokesperson of PPF, MI Khan, in his keynote address mentioned that the forum is not related with electoral politics but rather was formed with the vision of upliftment of the society. He said that PPF members constituted different backgrounds and belonged to many fields but a member has to meet the criteria set by PPF.

Meitei Pangal which has a history lasting more than 500 years has contributed in most issues on safeguarding the state’s integrity, he said. MI Khan further urged the government to bring forth a permanent cure rather than coming up with arrangement to control the situation temporarily.

Announcing holidays of educational institutes will not bring a lasting solution to the present problems in the state but only hinder the academic environment, he said referring to the government announcement of three-day shut down of educational institutions in Manipur ostensibly to minimise participation of students in the ILPS agitation.

The foundation day was also attended by chief advisor of PPF AR Khan, former minister N Mangi Singh and president of AMWJU Shyamjai as functional president and guests of honour.
